To be eligible to apply to our program, all applicants must show proof of advanced English language ability. This can only be done by showing proof of having taken a CLB test and achieving a minimum overall Benchmark score of 8.
We also accept current IELTS (minimum 7.0 overall) or TOEFL iTB (minimum 95 overall) test results.
CLB testing is also used to determine your level for Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC).

Permanent Residents, Landed Immigrants and Convention Refugees are eligible for a free CLB language assessment through the YMCA, Centre for Education and Training, Welcome Centres and other settlement agencies that provide the service.
