Effective legal project management is a skill.  You must be able to break a file down into discrete tasks in order to determine the best way to complete the work, and to monitor and track progress. Understanding the components of the project is key when determining what cost and what fee can be attributed to each task and the project as a whole.

This webinar will focus on how to establish what the tasks are, determining how each task should be delivered and by whom, and how to best manage the file so that you are able to meet client expectations. Specific topics include:

  • Creating and using the time, scope and cost baseline to develop a robust delivery plan
  • How to select, manage and motivate the right team for the right tasks
  • How to identify and deal with change
  • Tracking and monitoring performance – milestones, key performance indicators, etc.
  • Required communication – the why, what, how and when

You’ll walk away with tools, documents/check lists that will allow you to implement these strategies in your own workplace.

There will be an opportunity for a “live” online Q&A with faculty.
