Heather Evans

Heather Evans (BA, LLB, LLM) is the National Managing Partner for Tax at Deloitte and a member of the firm’s Global Tax & Legal Executive. She is an advisor to high net worth clients and family offices on issues relating to taxation, domestic and cross-border tax and estate planning, philanthropy, succession and wealth management and a frequent writer and speaker on taxation matters. Heather has previously been the national leader of the Private Client Advisors service line, Director of Operations for the Toronto tax practice, and also been a director on the Canadian firm board. Heather graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University with a Master of Laws (Taxation). She has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University. Called to the Ontario Bar, she is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), where she has also served on the board and chaired the editorial board of the national publication. She has been an Instructor for the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admission course and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School at York University
